There will of course also be a raffle at the Convention in April. It’s always fun to look at all the prizes and see how creative some people are! And then you have to make the difficult decision in which box to put your tickets.
For any first-time attendees: the raffle is nothing serious, just fun! So how does it work? We’ll be selling raffle tickets on the Friday and Saturday (cash only). They will cost 50 euro cents and they will be sold in strips of 5 (so 2.50 per strip). You write your screenname on the back of each ticket, and put them in the yoghurt pot next to the prize (or prizes) you’d like to win.
At the end of the Saturday afternoon programme, we’ll draw one name from each pot, and that person is the lucky winner of that prize.
We’d love to get some idea of who is planning on bringing a prize (and what kind of prize). Some people (individually or as a group) bring a prize from their home country or city, other prizes might be book-themed (really?) or food-related, for example. It is certainly not compulsory to bring a prize though.
So please post in the forum if you’re thinking of bringing a prize. We don’t need to know every single item, just a show of hands and a general description. If your prize consists of more than one item, please include a bag so that people can take it home easily (and it also helps us carry the prizes into the main room for the draw on Saturday!).
