We’re getting closer and closer to the Convention! The next thing we need you to do is choose your restaurant for dinner on Saturday evening (if you want to take part of course). We’ve made arrangements with 4 restaurants which can each take 20-30 people. Please make your choice and post it in the forum thread, no later than 15 March.
1) Tiga Star Indonesia
Several attendees have said that they’d like to try Indonesian food, and it’s a great choice for large groups. Tiga Star offers a wide selection of authentic Indonesian dishes (with meat, fish, eggs, tofu, tempeh or vegetables), which will be served as a buffet (we will be seated at tables though).
Plenty of options for vegetarians and vegans and they can also provide a gluten-free meal.
There is currently a problem with their website, so no link, but don’t let that put you off. They come highly recommended and do a lot of catering work for the university. You could check out Tripadvisor etc to get an idea of their food.
The price is €25.95 per person, excl. drinks. Please note that they do not serve alcohol as they don’t have a licence.
2) Soek Damascus (www.soekdamascus.nl)
A simple but cosy restaurant serving a variety of Middle Eastern dishes. For groups they provide a three-course meal, starting with large shared plates of mezze, followed by soup and then shared plates of various types of grilled meat and vegetables for the main course. You can choose either vegetarian or non-vegetarian. They regret they cannot provide a gluten-free meal.
The price is €45 per person, including 3 drinks.
3) Colors World Food (https://www.colorsworldfood.nl/)

There are plenty of vegetarian and vegan choices and also a number of gluten-free dishes. The price is €33 per person excl. drinks.
4) Restaurant Bisou (https://restaurantbisou.nl/)
Bisou is a French bistro-style restaurant, serving classic dishes with seasonal ingredients. There is no set menu or set price. We will be able to choose from the whole menu if we let them know our choices in advance. We will ask you to make your choice nearer the time.
Please make your choice of restaurant known in the forum thread (no later than 15 March) and I will add the names to the lists there. I’ll update the list every two days or so, so that you can see that your choice has been noted.
