Sebastiaan Mathôt (1982) is an associate professor of psychology at the University of Groningen in The Netherlands. Next to his research and teaching, he writes short stories that touch upon topics such as the meaning of consciousness, artificial intelligence, the difference between what is real and what is not, human interaction—and more. He distributes these stories as hand-made paperbacks, some of which have found their way to readers through public book exchanges! You can find more about Sebastiaan's writing at https://suchwasnot.com
